Benchmark : At the end of the activity, the students should be able to identify
the correct emotions used with end punctuations.
Task : End it with feelings!
1. In the Pencil Holder, there are 2 Punctuation lollipops showing the period (.) & exclamation point (!)
2. By taking turns, each will pick one and say his name with the right emotion according to the punctuation.
Ex: Peter. (serious, smiling, indifferent or calm)
Peter! (happy)
Peter! (angry)
Peter! (surprised)
Peter! (shocked)
Peter! (scared)
Peter! (yelling)
3. Now it is time to pick any of the words from the Wizard’s Pouch (nouns, sight words, verbs).
4. Read it with the emotion of the punctuation lollipop at the end of every word
5. This is how a punctuation changes the emotion in the same word or sentence.
